Born Rabaul Papua New Guinea The artist now resides in Brisbane Australia. Her family is from the remote province of Manus Island as well as Guam near the Philippine Sea.
Works on paper, particularly printmaking is her focus with linocuts, etchings & screenprints that examine consciousness, myths & the spaces between. She is interested in investigating the peripheries between dream, fantasy and memory and how this interacts with our conscious experience and the inherent conflict between illusion and reality, ethereality and permanence.
Utilising mark making along with the layering process of printmaking as well as strong line & pattern, she works predominantly with linocuts & etching to interpret a landscape that floats with strange encounters. She uses collage in a process of ongoing exploration of her identity as well as a process to make print works. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art majoring in printmaking with Queensland College of Art, Griffith University and is a qualified Secondary Teacher. Her work has been exhibited nationally & abroad.
